Dear Members,
As we have now commenced another year I’m pleased to advise you that the first half of this financial year finished on a positive note. This is encouraging going into the second half.
The indication from the media is that we can only look forward to doom and gloom, this is something that the Board does not subscribe too. It’s our belief that as long as we provide good service to our members including entertainment, food and beverages at affordable prices, and run our operations as efficiently as possible we will weather this cloudy period.
We have the confidence and I’m sure with your support we will achieve this. On a more positive note we have scheduled some exciting new talent in the entertainment industry. A reminder that our annual free senior citizens concert is set down for 3pm Sunday 8th March, 2009. As usual Frank Crisafi will be your MC.
You’re assured of a great day so be sure to collect your ticket from Reception. Our Cash Give Away held the last Tuesday of the month is still very popular and will continue in 2009.
Again this year we look forward to being active in the local community in providing funding to our local schools, sporting organizations and most importantly our aged homes. This is only made possible by the continued support of our members.
